
Papa Roach is a rock band from Vacaville, California, formed in 1993 and consists of Jacoby Shaddix, Jerry Horton, Tobin Esperance, and their newly appointed drummer, Tony Palermo (previously of Unwritten Law). One of the band’s founding members, Dave Buckner (drums), left the group in early 2008. They had mostly regional success until their breakthrough with the hit single “Last Resort” from their first major label album, Infest.
August of 2004 saw the release of their third album, Getting Away with Murder. Touring on the immense popularity of the album’s second single, “Scars”, said to be “the softest song Roach has ever done”, Getting Away With murder has currently sold over 1 million albums, reaching platinum status. 2005 was full of continuous touring, including a full United States and European tour.
